MIYABI COAT is a long-running product that is central to KAMIKAZE COLLECTION. This version adds carbon nanotubes, for a thicker, denser film.

We began developing with nanoparticles such as carbon nanotubes early on, from 2018 to 2019. Most of this work aimed to improve how the film bonds to the surface. For MIYABI COAT, which has a 96% concentration of active siloxane ingredients, we tested continuously for about two years. This update was a matter of "addition and subtraction": we adjusted a few percent of the formula so that the carbon nanotubes could work effectively. The main result is a thicker, higher-density film, which comes from the improved bonding that carbon nanotubes are meant to provide.

Natural character, unchanged
This product contains no silicone, fluorine, or additives that create slickness or repellency. It does not have the artificial slickness typical of inorganic surface films. The feel is that of a cured siloxane film with 96% active ingredients, different from products thinned with organic solvents or diluents.

A base layer for any film
As with the earlier MIYABI COAT, we follow the "PAINT TUNING" approach: hardening the delicate paint after polishing with a cured film to strengthen it. A plain base film with no slickness or water-repellent groups has become rare, and we consider it an important base under any wax, sealant or coating.

Our view on coatings
When we present overseas, we start by saying: "Glass coating is not glass. Ceramic coating is not ceramic." Glass and ceramic are completely inorganic. Inorganic materials tend to be strong against organic dirt such as oil, but weak against inorganic dirt such as water spots and silica scale, just like window glass or toilet porcelain. A car with an organic wax has a shorter absolute lifespan, but can hold up better against inorganic dirt.

As long as water contains inorganic substances such as calcium and potassium, water spots can form on any coating. We believe a good coating is one that does not bite into the paint, and that can be easily removed and maintained with our ANTI-AGING chemicals.

96% active ingredients
The main component is a siloxane resin made from alkoxysiloxane and alkoxysilane. It contains no organic solvents such as IPA, toluene or white gasoline. Our factory uses carefully selected, ultra-low-molecular-weight raw materials, so the film can bond to the paint without solvents that dissolve the paint surface.

A weakness of fully inorganic coatings
On its own, it can be prone to water spots. Because it has no water-repellent additives (modified silicone, fluorine), the film is hydrophobic rather than water-repellent. The finish is a natural gloss, as if a clear layer had been added. We do not describe it as "increasing gloss and shine": it raises the paint's own gloss. This is the natural, classic texture typical of glass coatings.

Recommended use
MIYABI COAT is mainly used as a base coat, because the application is simple. Pair it with:

• For protection: two layers of ISM COAT 3.0 as a top coat.
• For appearance: two layers of INFINITY WAX 2.0 as a top coat (KAMIKAZE PROTECTION KIT "MATSU the Pine tree").
• For daily care: OVER COAT LIQUID 6.1 as a sacrificial layer after washing.

DIRECTIONS
This product is made for professional application. If application fails, the cured film must be removed by polishing. Indoor application is recommended.

1. Soak the included applicator cloth with the product.
2. Apply evenly in one direction, as with an ordinary coating.
3. Wait about 10 to 20 minutes for the reaction, then wipe off with a clean microfiber cloth. Recommended conditions: 15 to 25°C (59 to 77°F), 40 to 70% humidity.
4. Allow 1 to 2 hours of drying after wiping. Keep water off for at least 12 to 24 hours.
5. If you apply ISM COAT 3.0 or similar over it, wait about 2 hours after wiping.
