THEORY

KIKUSUI LABEL is KAMIKAZE COLLECTION's private label, created for Concours d'Elegance and car shows.

This latest release was created for the Concours d'Elegance in northern Paris in September.

It was developed around two goals. The first is outstanding workability, even outdoors and under a blazing sun. The second is beautiful water beading, the kind you see when rain or frost settles on a car during a concours. With those as the foundation, this 2026 release is a KAIZEN (continuous improvement) of our previous wax, built to surpass it.

PERFORMANCE

Surpass the last one.

This wax is a water-repellency specialist, built to go beyond RAIZIN.

By adding a next-generation water-repellent compound in place of PTFE, we aimed to push water repellency as far as a wax can go.

We also introduced a new ceramic-class material: aminomethoxy polysiloxane, which adds a dense, hard texture. While drying, the methoxy groups in this ingredient react with moisture in the air and become silanol, forming a siloxane network similar to a hard resin film, like that of MIYABI COAT.

We added it to deliver two things at once: the signature KAMIKAZE water behavior, where beads fall straight off without trailing, and a hard finish that lets the paint's natural gloss show through.

A NOTE FROM OUR CEO

I'm grateful to say I've been very busy lately. So busy, in fact, that I can't create a new wax, motivation included, until an event is close.

Ideally, this year's d'ELEGANCE WAX, the CEO's own creation, would have been announced earlier. This time, though, it is the wax used on a car at a Concours d'Elegance in France. I had to build it while fully imagining France's climate and the car it would be applied to (laughs).

I tested new materials and additives bit by bit, verifying as I went. In the end, it became what I'd call the true evolution of the kind of wax KAMIKAZE COLLECTION does best, and now we are officially releasing it.

For the container, I deliberately changed the image from our usual bamboo jar to one machined from solid aluminum. It is finished in gold, our secondary brand color, with a finely detailed leather-pattern engraving. From the moment you pick it up, it should feel unlike any wax you've held.

For the fragrance, I went "budget be damned" and used a French-made scent. Elegant and layered, reminiscent of a fashion house, it goes beyond the realm of car care wax, or so I personally believe.

It carries a Japanese name, KIKUSUI LABEL, yet the wax itself has a presence closer to a Western product in design and refinement. That meeting of Japan and the West, tradition and modernity, is the expression and worldview I do best.

I hope you'll enjoy it in full: the scent, the texture, the gloss, and the joy of owning it.

DIRECTIONS

• Prep: Prepare the surface with THE d'ELEGANCE GLAZE II. A hardened coating such as MIYABI COAT also works as a base. If applying over a very slick or water-repellent product, we recommend degreasing first with KMKZ PRIMER DEGREASING.
• Apply: Apply in circular motions. Avoid straight strokes: circles help build film thickness and fill existing fine scratches.
• Buff off: We recommend removing with THE d'ELEGANCE TOWEL II.
• For a harder, deeper gloss: Leave the wax for 60 minutes after application, then buff off while using a small amount of THE d'ELEGANCE WATERLESS.
• Maintenance: You can maintain the finish with our other products. You can also do a semi-wet application on a wet car (after air-blowing the water off).

Note: Sponges and towels used during application may harden because of the ingredients. If you want to reuse them, please wash them immediately.
