THEORY

Modified Fluorine Polysilazane + Borophene

In addition to the chemical resistance provided by our proud raw material, modified fluorine polysilazane (PFAS, PFOS, and PFOA-free),

we have added the latest material, borophene (a monoatomic layer of boron, or white graphene), for enhanced film adhesion.

At the same time, for sales to Europe, the United States, and California, we have reduced the amount of organic solvents, such as nonane, contained in the former OVER COAT CERAMIC as much as possible (potential for future restrictions in overseas markets), and improved the product to be water-soluble rather than solvent-based.

The background to its development is that this product is made from modified fluorine polysilazane, borophene, and several additives.

During the development and testing of "VIKING COAT," a coating for cold climates in Northern Europe and other northern countries, some Western products were developed.

This is a derivative product that changed course and sought to find a solution for OVER COAT CERAMIC.

At the same time, in order to approach overseas markets, rather than commercializing using solvent-based methods as in the past, our joint development developer created a water-soluble (water + water-soluble solvent + additives + main ingredient + borophene)

compound, and the product was created by blending our materials with samples prepared by our co-development developer.

Developed using the so-called "KAIZEN" approach that KAMIKAZECOLLECTION specializes in,

this next-generation product incorporates an unprecedented spirit of challenge and a system for incorporating new technologies and materials.

We are currently building a product development system based on the OVER COAT CERAMIC -EVO-, including our overseas bases, and plan to release several additional product versions (such as a performance version for professionals and a VIKING COAT version for northern regions).

We hope to offer this as a new value or phase in the KAMIKAZE COLLECTION or OVER COAT.

PERFORMANCE

Gloss ★★★★★+★★
Gloss ★★★☆☆
Water Repellency ★★★★★
Slip Resistance ★★★★★+★
Applicability ★★☆☆☆
Durability ★★★★★+★

Compared to the previous OVER COAT CERAMIC,

gloss and slick performance (slip resistance) have been significantly improved.

As a result, application has been sacrificed, requiring somewhat strict application conditions and techniques.

Durability has been significantly improved in terms of alkali and solvent resistance.

However, resistance to some acidic chemicals has been confirmed under certain conditions, with many of these issues being due to initial application defects (such as curing time).

As a solution, we recommend applying OVER COAT LIQUID over the coating of this product.

We recommend applying this 24 hours after initial application.

KMKZ WATER SPOT (our acid cleaner) can also be used to remove mineral stains, even when diluted with 50% water.

Basically, maintenance using KMKZ ACID SHAMPOO and KMKZ QUICK DETAILER is sufficient, and it can even address mineral stains.

In terms of durability, this is just my opinion, but it has been significantly improved.

Even in the Norwegian market, which is already covered in de-icing agents, it has been praised for its performance being comparable to the previous ISM COAT 3.0.

In our own experiments, our product, "OVER COAT CERAMIC -EVO-," has the best chemical resistance, excluding professional coatings.

Thus, although removal requires some effort, it can be done without any problems.

FROM THE CEO

This is a personal column from the CEO of KMKZ, but

Timing is something that comes suddenly, and I believe that this exceptional product was born as a result of both coincidence and fate.

I personally purchase and test products from around the world on business trips abroad, and while I have studied international trends and received samples from overseas development teams,

I have come to realize that while "chemical resistance" in the Western market is somewhat hyped, it is steadily gaining ground in overseas markets.

I had always been skeptical of durable spray-cured ceramic coatings, which are highly cross-linked using strong organic solvents or highly penetrating solvents and prone to mille-feuille. This coincided with my consideration of re-approaching the Western market, which has strict chemical regulations.

While I have received mixed reviews from customers both in Japan and overseas, with some saying, "Recently, there have been many products that are easy to apply and understand,"

As CEO, I was in the midst of exploring the possibility of releasing a "quite distinctive product."

Even so, even if it meant sacrificing some workability and the application environment,

we spent several months developing this product, determined to take on the challenge of creating a product unlike anything KMKZ had offered before.

While our products prioritize resistance to acidic chemicals, we have also significantly enhanced alkali and solvent resistance, resulting in a coating that is resistant to peeling.

As a by-product of this, we boast unprecedented slick performance.

To be honest, this is even more surprising than the addition and curing of graphene or modified fluoropolysilazane, and it's like, "Wow, this is too much!"

The reason we added "EVO" to the name is also because we believe there is no success without failure, reflecting our company's suicide-inducing spirit, and we wanted to share this new KMKZ development with everyone.

We chose the name EVO. This is why we didn't go for a name like "OVER COAT CERAMIC 2.0."

Therefore, the reason we increased the volume from 120ml to 150ml was because we thought the first application would probably fail.

Amid the recent trend of price hikes, we decided to offer a volume increase campaign that essentially amounts to a price reduction (it's okay even if you fail once), keeping the price unchanged at ¥9,980.

In that respect, it's true that this product is almost the complete opposite of KMKZ's basic stance and philosophy (wry smile).

I personally look forward to seeing how this product is received in the domestic and overseas markets.

I think it will probably be polarized (lol).

[Side Note]

KMKZ PRIMER DEGREASING is a product that was developed in conjunction with the development of this product.

It's just a degreaser, but as users both in Japan and overseas have said, you'll see a difference in the water repellency and behavior within just a few weeks.

It pairs perfectly with this product, so please give it a try.

DIRECTIONS

[How to Use]

This product is designed for use on surfaces that have already been cleaned and polished. For paintwork in poor condition, please prime the surface by removing water stains, iron particles, and polishing.

We recommend using KMKZ PAINT CLEANSING or KMKZ AMAZING GLAZE. Also, be sure to degrease with KMKZ PRIMER DEGREASING or similar.

1. Prime the surface, then dry and degrease. Avoid contact with water.

2. Spray an appropriate amount onto an applicator sponge or similar.

When spraying, apply the product in a circular motion.

When using a dropper, apply the product in an "X" pattern.

3. Apply to one panel only (one door, one fender, and half the hood).

4. Apply quickly from the center of one half of the panel, spreading horizontally.

5. Arrange the product vertically to ensure consistent application.

*Excessive vertical and horizontal motions will thin the film.

6. Wipe using both sides of a dry microfiber towel.

7. If unevenness occurs, it can be removed with KMKZ AMAZING GLAZE.

[Application Environment]

This product forms a strong film, but it is also delicate to apply. Please pay attention to a few points to ensure reliable application.

Initial cure: 12 hours, full cure: 72 hours (car washable)

Applicable temperatures: 15°C or above. After application, place in the hot sun to accelerate cure.

Recoating is possible after 24 hours. Two coats are recommended.

*When applying during the winter, be careful of temperature and moisture (frost, etc.).

When applying with a sprayer, there is a risk of the product adhering to surfaces other than the paint coating or glass.

It is better to spray the applicator rather than directly onto the body.

In addition, application with a dropper consumes less liquid, so we recommend it.

[About application applicators]

1. DETAILING COSMETIC APPLICATOR

This is ideal for applying a thick, even coat, but its small surface area makes it difficult to apply quickly, so you'll need to get used to it.

2. KMKZ MICRO FIBER APPLICATOR 37-PIECE (Scheduled for release in December)

Application with a typical sponge applicator tends to consume a lot of liquid, resulting in an uneven film thickness.

Use it with the assumption that you will add the appropriate amount of liquid.

3. Disposable oval microfiber towel

We conduct our own testing here (we use Komeri).

While application is excellent, it is not recommended for those seeking a thicker film.

Furthermore, thin products may cause scratches during application.

[About application]

1. Apply a generous amount.

2. Use at least two applicator faces per unit. As the microfiber fibers harden (semi-cured), they dissolve and stretch with the new liquid, creating an uneven layer that makes application extremely difficult. For this reason, we recommend replacing the applicator with a new one or changing the surface halfway through the vehicle's life.
