KAMIKAZE COLLECTION, which has been focusing solely on polishing and coating in the overseas market, developed the initial "KMKZ PPF" after several years of research and verification of existing PPF, driven by the increasing demand for PPF both domestically and internationally.

Several years have passed since then, and the improved version of PPF, which has undergone repeated refinements, is the current KMKZ PPF.

THEORY

The CEO's primary focus was on the texture, specifically the "applied feel." The goal was to achieve a texture that barely alters the orange peel or skin feel of the painted surface, combined with a smooth, non-vinyl-like touch. Furthermore, the aim was to provide water repellency and antifouling performance that belies its PPF nature, thanks to our specialty top coat. From a detailing perspective, we guarantee a finish that is distinctly different from other companies' PPF in terms of "beauty."

PERFORMANCE

Quick self-healing without heat, albeit slowly.

Our past failures have taught us that TPU, which originates in Japan and offers heat-free self-healing, has weaknesses after a year of use. These include issues such as easy dirt accumulation, yellowing, and uneven water repellency due to excessively rapid self-repair.

To leverage our custom top coat, we switched to a TPU material with a slightly delayed self-healing setting. We adjusted the ratio to ensure sufficient activation within minutes under direct sunlight, except during outdoor direct sunlight in winter.

PRODUCTION

Our PPF was previously manufactured in Japan. However, due to the Japanese manufacturing system where each layer is produced in different factories, leading to multiple transports and deployments that compromise quality, we now manufacture entirely within China at a factory capable of integrated production (only three such factories exist in China). We export Japanese-made TPU and top-layer coating components, use the same US-made ASHLAND adhesive as a well-known brand, and employ resin from the leading manufacturer BASF.

We use only the highest quality materials and conduct all production in-house through our custom manufacturing process. This results in a protection film designed in Japan and produced overseas for the global market, considering world-standard performance and per-roll cost. We have a track record of installation and delivery to select stores in the Japanese market and 40 stores in the overseas market.

WHAT IS CERAMIC GLOSS?

KMKZ PPF CERAMIC GLOSS uses US-made ASHLAND adhesive at 26μ with a texture as close as possible to that of a certain well-known PPF brand, combined with BASF resin and Japanese-made TPU material in the intermediate layer, featuring "heat-free self-healing" and a clear texture that "feels like it's not there." The surface incorporates ceramic coating, a specialty of KAMIKAZE COLLECTION, added from the manufacturing stage, achieving a smooth texture indistinguishable from paint. This represents the cutting edge of PPF as a Japanese-made solution product against conventional PPF that has an "applied feel."

We offer the product to the Japanese market at a price close to $1500 USD, which is the price we sell in the global market. Only we, who send materials from Japan and import directly from overseas factories, can offer this price. We have a track record of installation and delivery to select stores in the Japanese market and 40 stores in the overseas market.

PROTECTION & MAINTENANCE

While many film manufacturers consider coating and maintenance products as mere accessories, KMKZ places significant value on them. KMKZ PPF COAT, released as a PPF surface-specific coating to maximize our PPF's performance, is the result of development by us, who released the world's first PPF-specific curing film agent eight years ago. For maintenance, we offer KMKZ ACID SHAMPOO or KMKZ WATER SPOT, acidic chemicals to manage "stains," the biggest enemy of PPF, and KMKZ AMAZING GLAZE, which removes oxidized films and yellowing. For those who want to maintain the most beautiful condition and ensure reliable maintenance, KMKZ PPF's comprehensive aftercare is a key attraction.

ABOUT DATA CUT SOFTWARE & PLOTTER

Looking at the current market, cutting data is shared within the B2B market, except for companies like X and S. We plan to release software that shares data with a well-known brand shortly. It will support features like deleting or adding parts, enlarging edge areas, and increasing wrap-around. Annual: 330,000 yen (excluding tax) unlimited. Annual: 120,000 yen (excluding tax) up to 250㎡2. We are also evaluating multiple plotters specialized for PPF cutting in practical use, aiming to provide them for under 400,000 yen.
